ACHOLONU'S LECTURES AT NYU,CUNY AND MEDGAR EVER COLLEGE

In November 2009 Professor Catherine Acholonu, the Director of the Catherine Acholonu Research Center, Abuja, was on a lecture Tour in New York, USA. She gave a Departmental Lecture to staff and students at the John Jay College of Crminal Justice, City University of New York, where her new books are on the reading list for students in the English Department.

She also gave a number of solicited class lectures in the college as well as at Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, and at the African Studies Department at the New York University (NYU), sharing with faculty and students from her experiences as a library and field researcher working on the African continent, creating new research paradigms in the African Academy.

Her lecture topic was titled: "Emerging Cultural and Historical Research in Sub-Saharan Africa: The Question of Methodology and Medium of Expression". It can be downloaded from the website of the Catherine Acholonu Research Center http://www.carcafriculture.org/
